Holistic treatments: how your body responds

Holistic treatments serve to increase the natural healing abilities of the body, mind and Spirit, and to prevent the breakdown of wellbeing.

Using the analogy of a Radio, Scientists have discovered the perfect wave length for the human body to be at is 62-68 MHz. If the human body goes out of that range we become candidates for illness.

Colds are at 58 MHz
Flu’s are 57 at MHz
Cancer is at 42 MHz

Holistic therapies such as Reflexology, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Magnified Healing, Dorn back Therapy, and Emotional Freedom Techniques help to fine tune our energy system and keep us on the correct wave length.

Reflexology is a science based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands, and face that directly correspond with glands, organs and parts of the body.

Right foot relates to the right side of the body.  Left foot to the left side of the body.  Right side deals with the past and the male energies.  Left side deals with the present and the past two years and the female energies.  We use our thumb and fore fingers to stimulate the reflexes and imbalances show by using this technique.

It also works on the nine systems of the body.  I will briefly outline the holistic meaning of these systems.

  • We begin with the Skeletal System.  This consists of the Skeleton, muscles, tendons and joints.  If I was to ask you now how are you sitting?  Are you straight or slumped?  Has anyone said you had a great back bone or that you were spineless?  Do you feel tense or relaxed?  All these questions make us aware of our Skeletal System.  The positive affirmation for this system is to do with support.  Do I feel supported?  If not balances shall occur such as back ache and pains in joints and muscles.

  • The Nervous System including the solar plexus.  It deals with the six senses.  Eyes for seeing, Ears for hearing, Nose, for smelling, Mouth for tasting, Hands and body for touching, and our solar plexus or gut for intuition.  Do you enjoy what you are seeing?  Do you enjoy what you are hearing? Do you enjoy what you taste? Do you enjoy what you are touch or whom you are touching?  If the answer is no to any of these questions, imbalance can occur in these senses.  For your intuition do you trust yourself or do you give your power away?  The positive affirmation for the nervous system is I trust myself.

  • The Endocrine System is all about hormones and glands.  Hormones are the chemical messenger of our emotions.  When we are angry the Pituitary sends an army of hormones down to the Liver and Gall Bladder.  This causes an imbalance and we end up with Gallstones.  Equally when we worry, worry, the pituitary will send the army of hormones this time down to the kidneys and we end up with Kidney stones.  If we are much stressed it will send the army of hormones to the heart, which may give us blood pressure or if the veins are working extra hard it give us padding called cholesterol.  The spleen is the aim to please disease and our immune system breaks down.  The positive affirmation for the Endocrine system is I am one with matter and Spirit.

  • The Respiratory System is our lungs which are most important as without breath your physical body is dead.  Our breath is our inspiration, we can sing, dance, laugh, talk, and be fully alive Therefore grief is stored in our lungs.  When we lose someone we love, possessions it affects our lungs.  The positive affirmation is I am an inspiration.

  • Circulatory system is the heart and veins.  It is all about giving and receiving, forgiving and forgetting.  We must have a correct balance in giving and receiving. If we are unable to forgive and forget imbalances can occur.  When we do not forget and we hold the negative feelings in our memory we are in the presence of damaging anger. This absorbs into our organs and causes disease. The positive affirmation for this centre is I am one with the joys of life.

  • Lymphatic System works hand in glove with the circulatory system.  Where the circulatory system uses the blood to pump around the body.  The lymphatic system uses the breath.  It picks up all the rubbish that the circulatory system left behind.  It gets rid of the toxins from our body.  If we are not happy with our environment be it work or home imbalances will occur in this system.  The positive affirmation for this system is I release that which no longer serves me.

  • The Digestive System which involves the stomach, colon, liver and gall bladder.  We digest food and drink but we also digest our emotions.   When we digest anger, bitterness, resentment and internalise these feelings we end up with upset stomach and stomach ulcers when we hold on to negative energy we end up with colon cancer, diverticulitis or IBS.  Positive affirmations are I let go of old patterns and I absorb life lessons with joy and wisdom.

  • The Urinary System includes the kidneys urethras, bladder, and urethra.  Imbalances in these areas are caused by fears and disappointments.  When we are fed up the acclamation of emotions cause excess of fluid in the body causing puffiness and oedema.  We need to replace fear with courage.  The positive affirmation is I accept with courage the divine flow.

  • Finally the Reproductive system.  This system is for procreation pleasure and joy. It is also about our creativity.  If we are unable to express our true selves imbalances will occur in this area. Positive affirmations I am one with my creative power.
